ROS has a package called [cv\_camera](https://github.com/OTL/cv_camera) which is a thin layer over opencv to make a convenient interface with ROS. I have a Raspi Camera V2 connected by ribbon to a raspberry Pi 4.

Does that camera have an inherent ability to deliver monochrome images?

What flag/property do I need to set to get the images delivered as 1 deep image maps?

Thanks
