# How do I delete my account?

Hello. I tried searching in the options but there seems to be no way to delete my account from this site. Is it not allowed? I just don’t need this account anymore and would like it removed. Thank you!

the forum software (“[discourse](https://www.discourse.org/)”) doesn’t have a feature for users to delete their own account ([once they’ve made 1-2 posts](https://meta.discourse.org/t/delete-my-account/120331) because [that disrupts the content](https://meta.discourse.org/t/deleting-user-and-posts/102631)).

I don’t know if admins can do this.

if you don’t specifically need to delete, it’s fine to just not use an account anymore, abandon it.
