Image of fish, how to find these points of contour?

  1. thresholding to get a “fish” mask (possibly invert, to make sure fish is white and background is black)

  2. find first and last column of “fish”, calculate the position of those vertical measuring lines

  3. for each line, find topmost and bottommost “fish” pixel, take the center.
