I have an image of a smear, want to find plot the edges of the blood smeared accurately but i'm facing issues to distinguish between noise and the discontinous smear edge

I am finding it difficult to differentiate between the blood spread you can see in the image and the background noise, also thesize of the blood spread varies

the only solution is to take better pictures.

for that, you’ll need to understand lighting, how it behaves, how it interacts with surfaces and materials.
