Ubuntu 24 LTS is coming soon and I saw that it comes with OpenCV 4.6.0 libraries (over 2 years old). Who chooses these versions? Is it Ubuntu or are library developers who propose the versions they want to update? 4.6.0 is kind of old… maybe it had compatibility issues with other packages…
definitely not the opencv devs (or anyone here),
more likely some 3rd party volunteer, who maintains that package.
