there are 22 objects mentioned in the ipd github, if i am right we need to initially build a solution for 10 of those objects right? are they specified already or do we choose any 10 out of 22

You are correct, the first phase of the challenge will be based on 10 objects out of 22 objects from the original IPD dataset. These objects are predefined and are the same for all the participants, and we’ll announce them publicly shortly.

is this competition online or offline?

Depends on what do you mean by online and offline? Participants can be working on their solutions offline, but they’ll need to submit docker containers, that will be evaluated online. We’ll share more details in the next few weeks.

Is it a requirement to open source the solution that we use in the docker container at the end of the competition?
