I seem to recall a Reddit but I don’t know how active it is. A discord maybe?
Thanks so much

the official channels are listed on opencv.org (footer)
Stack Overflow has an OpenCV tag and a computer vision tag. it is more active than all other places. SO also has more rules and a very much sharper focus, so it’s a tradeoff.
I would recommend against anything chat-like because that’s ephemeral. with a forum/web page, threads stick around and you might eventually get an answer.
I am unaware of a discord. a slack may have existed or still exists, but that was/is primarily for GSoC students.
yes there’s a subreddit for opencv and one for computer vision.
these days, many of the traditionally “CV” problems are now ML problems, i.e. it’s best to train a neural network model or find a trained model to handle the cognitive task, rather than coming up with and constructing the “cognition” as a program using CV primitives.
