Auto follow sports action?

I am new to opencv. I would like to create a script which can automatically follow the sports action?

I am thinking to use a 4K wide angle camera capture full field at 60FP, then use opencv to zoom in and pan the image to follow the actions (reduce to 1080P), similar to autocam (Use AI technology to create TV-like footage from panorama videos).

It is doable via opencv?
