I am new to OpenCV. Can you use OpenCV to collect time series data for position and rotation of an object? I see a lot of object detection and tracking. But, I want to measure position and rotation changes.

how hard do you wanna make this task for yourself?
you can make it easy by accepting black funny squares on your “objects” and a bunch of cameras (or just one) with known/measured positions fixed around the scene.
